As well as being a qualified Mediator with the Civil Mediation Council (CMC), a trained Negotiator and qualified Solicitor, Suzie has a body of experience of around 30 years in Corporate Communications, Public Affairs/Media Relations in both the public and private sector, in house and agency.

She has managed high profile issues and campaigns and is a Postgraduate Law lecturer and Course Leader of the LPC in London. She has examined and written professional legal examinations.

University of London, English (BA Hons). CPE. LPC. PSC, Thames Valley University and College of Law. Qualified Solicitor 1998. London School of Economics, certified negotiator, CMC Civil and Commercial and Workplace Mediator (trained by award winning Essential Mediation Solutions).

Skills for Mediation

Analytical

Suzie has an ability to grasp varying subject matters and issues, focus on facts and understand personal, political, social and policy implications and the interaction between them. Managing conflicting and complex issues, problem solving by assessing actual and potential issues and formulating government/company position statements for public and media consumption and resolving conflicts are her strength. Ensuring the objective outcome is delivered through attainable resources and realistic frameworks which are simple 'pilot' core based and therefore evolutionary. 

Advisory

Advising as to the appropriateness and realistic application of mediation procedure; advising government ministers, company board members, directors (Plc and Ltd) re policy statements, making changes, launching new initiatives, and the best use and presentation of information, particularly ensuring consistency of message and policy during unexpected and expected events and change.  Accompanying Ministers of PQ days and during parliamentary business in the House eg debates, select committees, public engagements, liaising duty at No 10.

Oral presentation and communication

initiating and maintaining open discussion of the core issues of disputes and conflict barriers and identifying the interests that will facilitate resolution, presenting and explaining policy and multi-faceted issues in house to senior officials/directors and externally to target groups and media, attending EU Forums in Brussels, awarding British Trade Awards, Post-graduate Legal Lecturing, Legal workshops, Revision workshops, LPC & QLTS, (over 10 years).
